First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dallas County.
Tax Representative
The interview process was quick and straightforward, with standard questions about my experience and personal background. It all wrapped up in about an hour and a half. They sent over an offer a week later. The hiring process does take some time for the paperwork to get processed and to figure out the start date.
- Describe a challenging situation you faced and how you handled it.
Shift Supervisor
The interview was a panel interview. I got an offer, but declined it. The interview wasn't hard, just regular questions that don't take long to answer. Keep good eye contact, dress for success, be comfortable, and ask them questions.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Why are you interested in this role?
Auditor
I had to email to set up the interview. After we picked a date and time, I got a Zoom link. It was a group interview for an entry-level job. They wanted a degree but no experience. But all the questions acted like they wanted someone with experience, asking if I already knew how to do the job. They told me the next day they hired internally. I think they planned to hire internally all along and just wanted to say they gave everyone a fair shot.
- Could you describe the responsibilities of an auditor?
IT Services
Met with a team of seasoned IT Execs to discuss the hiring process, needs of the company, issues, concerns, motivation, embracing new technologies, changing the IT culture, having a can do attitude at all cost, project management, operations, help desk, desktop support, and working with multiple vendors. Dallas County is on the way up. This would be a tremendous opportunity and I am eager for the results!!!
- What would you change about the IT Team?
- What is your weakness?
