HR asked me to submit written answers to three questions. Then, I was selected to interview with a senior leader. However, this leader clearly hadn’t reviewed my answers or resume. She was late for the interview and used the time to complain about operational pain points. There was nothing about vision, and she didn't mention the organization's mission at all. The interview felt transactional and perfunctory, as if decisions were already made beforehand. I don't think she asked me one question about myself or my experience. Next steps were only shared when I asked about them. The conversation ended abruptly at the scheduled time without space for genuine dialogue. I found this very disappointing as I had spent a good amount of my time researching and preparing to have a serious conversation about the role.

It was an easy, straightforward interview that didn't take long, about 15 minutes. Everyone was really nice and seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say. I didn't get the job, but I suspect they had a lot of people apply.

It was a phone interview, then an in-person one. Very straightforward and made me feel at ease. The managers were nice and made it feel inclusive. They really wanted to check if I had good communication skills and customer service abilities, along with basic phone handling and reservation booking skills.

So I was actually applying for two jobs at the Arboretum, and they had this job fair that they advertised on their website. We all had to fill out paperwork for each job we applied for, then wait for quick 5-10 minute interviews with the hiring managers for their departments. It was a neat system, and it seemed to work well.
