First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Daley and Associates.
Intern
I applied online after seeing a LinkedIn ad for an internship. A manager got in touch and we had a 15-minute phone interview. Then, about a day or two later, I was invited for an onsite interview. Everyone was super welcoming and made me feel at ease during the interview.
- Can you share details about your college experience?
- What are your career interests post-graduation?
Recruiter
I talked with 5 people who were all really nice and made for great conversations. The interviews took place in the office with a group of recruiters, a director, and a manager.
- Can you describe your multitasking skills?
Investment Operations Analyst
I applied online and a few weeks later, someone contacted me. We spoke, and they asked a bunch of questions about my background and resume. After we were done, they said they would check if the position was still open. I was confused because I didn't know if they had already checked that before interviewing me. A few minutes later, I got an email saying they'd found someone. It felt like a waste of my time, or maybe they just didn't think I was a good fit. Weirdly, the job was posted again a week later.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Account Analyst
Had a phone interview, then went in to meet the recruiter who was really nice and made me feel comfortable. He said I was perfect for the role and couldn't wait to present me to the client. Then, his superior joined, and they both said my skills were transferable and I'd be a good fit. The recruiter said he'd present me to the client in 2 business days and let me know when I could meet them. I followed up but didn't get a response. I think it was because I'm currently making more than the role pays, even though I said job satisfaction, growth, and commute would make up for it. Not sure if they didn't believe me or didn't want someone taking a pay cut. Would have appreciated a follow-up though.
