First, I had to talk about my past experience and the projects I've built. Then, they hit me with some front end questions covering stuff like Angular and CSS. They also asked me to explain how I'd go about designing the window for a virtual meeting.

First I got an acknowledgement email from dalet.breezy-mail.com. Then, the hiring manager sent me an email to schedule a Microsoft Teams call for the first round. After that, a follow-up email came for another technical round with the reporting manager. The reporting manager then sent a link for the final interview round. Within a week, I received a follow-up feedback email. The whole interview process with Dalet was smooth and excellent.

Technical Behavioral Presentation

I first met Dalet at my grad school career fair and they were responsive initially, but then the hiring process dragged on forever. It involved 4 rounds: an introductory one, a technical one covering networks, databases, tech support, etc., a PM-specific round, and a final interview. I did great in all rounds and got really good feedback, they even suggested me for a higher role than I applied for! But then they asked about salary expectations in the final round, and everything fell apart. They went silent. They'd reply to my follow-ups saying they were doing internal checks and would get back in a week, but I always had to chase them, and they'd just buy another week. It was clear they were looking for someone cheaper. What was weirdest was they never even tried to negotiate. I was open to it, but they just stopped talking and made me wait. I figured it meant they valued cheap labor over quality and principles, indicating a toxic culture. Four months after my first interview, after I pushed them a lot, I finally got rejected. They never responded when I asked for feedback. Even though I never worked there, the whole interview experience really shows you the company, management, and decision-making, and it was the worst!

It started with one phone screen, then an on site interview that included a written technical test and questions about my past experience. There were other rounds with the Director of Operations. They really emphasized being multi-lingual in English/French or English/Spanish and asked general questions about Windows networking and knowledge of the media/broadcast industry.
