Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dalata Hotel Group.
Graduate Student
The interview process started with an online round, followed by an offline group work interview, and then an individual interview. There was a simple task and questions. The interviewer was nice. There were many different sections, and research was needed for their values and culture. However, I never heard back about whether the second round was successful. Emails and phone calls were not responded to.
- What makes you the best candidate for this position
Graduate Program
Applied online with CV and Cover Letter, then got called in for an interview in Clayton, Dublin. It felt like everyone was invited, which was fun but maybe not the best way to show off our skills! We played a game where we answered two questions each based on the color of our M&M's. Then there was a group exercise to build a pasta tower, and a quick 10-minute speed interview. It was a fun few hours, but perhaps they should screen candidates more before this stage. This was the first round, and it was a long trip for many who might not have had the chance to perform at their best!
- What is your least favourite subject?
- What is your favourite subject?

Dalata is a competitive company with over 800 applications for this role. They interviewed over 30 people in the first round, but only two were hired. The interview involved a general introduction to Dalata, followed by a one-on-one behavioral interview with friendly interviewers.

- What makes you the right candidate for us?
- Are you open to business travel?
