Behavioral Presentation

The interview process started with a brief first-round conversation to get to know my background and interest in the role. The second round was a mock cold call exercise, where I had two attempts and received constructive, actionable feedback after each try. The interviewers created a supportive and professional environment, making the process feel fair and encouraging overall.

Behavioral Technical Coding System Design

So, the interview process was kinda weird. There were 4 rounds, which I thought was a bit much and not ideal for people who have to take time off work for this. It started with a recruiter call, then a chat with the hiring manager, followed by a coding interview with two developers, and finally, a design interview where I had to go into their office and whiteboard a system design. I made it to the third round. The manager chat and the coding interview felt a bit off; they weren't typical interview questions, more like casual conversations but with some awkwardly phrased questions thrown in. The two developers who interviewed me seemed a little condescending, honestly. Overall, it wasn't the best experience.

The application process was straightforward, and the recruiters were very quick to schedule interviews. I really appreciated how responsive they were! However, the actual team members I met with acted like mean girls, looking down on me. It felt like the interviewers had confirmation bias, which I later discussed with another candidate. They seemed to be looking for very specific answers and didn't truly consider the depth of what candidates offered. Also, there was a noticeable lack of diversity among the interview panel and in individual interviews. The audience was monotonous, and the overall vibe didn't reflect the diversity of the US.

Presentation Behavioral

I went through 3 interview rounds: one with the hiring manager, another with 3-4 cross-functional folks, and a final presentation to 4-5 people. After the last interview, the recruiter contacted me a few days later. She mentioned I did better than candidates with 2-3 more years of experience but they went with someone whose experience was a closer match to the role, which I thought was fair. The recruiter then said the team was impressed and wanted me to interview with a hiring manager from a different team, possibly meeting 1-2 more people if the HM thought so. I had that meeting, and it went well. The HM liked me, and the recruiter informed me I'd meet with 1-2 additional people. I met with those two individuals. On September 18th, the recruiter emailed me stating the feedback was positive and a final decision would be shared by September 23rd. When September 23rd arrived, there was no update. I've followed up three times and have been completely ignored, not even a response. I even included recruiting coordinators in my follow-ups, so multiple people had the chance to reply or give me an update. It's now October 22nd. Even if it was a rejection, the least they could do is inform me, especially after I spent over two months interviewing. It's extremely unprofessional and lacks empathy, which is a shame because I was really enthusiastic about the role.
