Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at D2L.
Marketing
It was a 3-round interview process. First, I had a chat with HR. Then, I interviewed with the sales director, followed by an interview with the VP of sales.
- Can you describe your previous experience and how it relates to this position?
- What's your experience like in various markets?
- How do you go about generating demand?
Marketing Executive
It was a long process with 3 rounds: HR, Direct Manager, and Global Manager. It was lengthy and took a few weeks but it was in depth. The global manager was probably the most difficult and there was a lot of questions around results which is not easy to recall in an interview.
- Can you provide examples of lead generation campaigns you've managed, including their outcomes, key performance indicators, and reporting procedures?
Marketing
After taking the time to prepare and interview, it's not okay to be ghosted by D2L. It's surprising they gave a follow-up date that never happened, and even after following up, they ignored me. With today's HR software, sending automated rejection emails should be the minimum. I wouldn't recommend wasting time here, even though the industry is interesting. HR needs to remember we're humans and treat us with respect.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What is your motivation for seeking a new position?
- Could you describe your previous work experiences?
