Behavioral Case Presentation

So, first there was an interview, and then I had to do a case study about entering a market. They wanted to know what I'd think about, what the goals would be, and the timing and stuff. The person interviewing me was nice and asked pretty normal stuff about my resume, but they really spent more time asking about my hobbies.

First, there was a resume screen and I had to fill out an application form that included some short answer questions. Then, a 30-minute "get to know you" 1-on-1 Zoom call. After that, I was given a case-study task. The fourth stage was a 90-minute Zoom with two interviewers where we went over the case study and they asked some behavioral questions. I didn't make it past this stage.

The hiring manager reached out to me and asked me to finish an assignment before any interviews or even a preliminary phone call. I did the assignment and then didn't hear back for over a week. I then got a generic rejection email with no mention of the assignment or any reason for my rejection, even though I had talked to the hiring manager. When I asked the hiring manager about the job and my assignment, I didn't get a response. It felt unprofessional and degrading because I put time and effort into the assignment. At the very least, I would expect a phone call or a personalized email.
