The technical interview lasted about an hour and covered bare metal MCU programming and analog electronics basics like BJT, MOSFET operation, basic circuits, and op amps. After that, I had to do a test task using the Cypress PSoC development kit.

It was a 4-round process. First, I had a manager's interview, which was mainly technical but also touched on my strengths and weaknesses. Then came the technical rounds, which could range from one to three depending on how many teams were interested in hiring me. After that, there was a group interview; the challenge was making sure everyone in the group found my answers convincing, which helped in building rapport with the team. Finally, the directors round was surprisingly technical and focused on my interpersonal skills.

Got a call from a manager and then an engineer. Went in for an in-person and got a schedule. Was taken to a small, windowless room where several people interviewed me over speakerphone. They repeatedly asked me to talk about times I successfully argued my point and how I dealt with conflicts. The group also asked me to do hard trig math on a whiteboard and then write some C++ code there too. It felt like talking is a big deal there, even for engineers. I asked to see the lab at the end since I only saw that small room. Most people were professional, but the company shirts were a bit much. Felt like a cold place to work.
