Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CyberArk.
Sales
I had 6 interviews for this role, with the last one being with the VP. Everything was smooth until the final interview, which was conducted over Skype. The VP has the final say on hiring and firing decisions. If you don't meet your sales targets, you're out.
- Can you explain your perspective on the importance of customer success?
- Describe your strategy for ensuring customer satisfaction.
Sales
The interview for the sales position was a pretty involved process, checking out different parts of my background and if I'd be a good fit. The interviewer asked a bunch of questions, covering both my technical skills and how I interact with people. It wasn't just a standard checklist; it was more like a real conversation where they wanted to see how I think about sales, handle tough situations, and manage client connections. The interviewer seemed really interested in what I could bring to the team with their smart questions.
- Can you share your past sales experience?
- Describe your method for establishing rapport with prospective customers.
- Which sales approaches do you consider most successful?
Inside Sales Representative
I applied online and got a call back from HR about a week later. We had an HR phone screen the next day. HR let me know the same day they wanted to move forward, and I had a phone screen with the hiring manager a day or two after that. A few days after the second phone screen, I went to the Newton office for an in-person interview. The in-person part involved four 1:1 chats with the hiring manager, sales manager, inside sales VP, and an AE team lead. I received an offer a few days post-interview. The whole in-person thing felt more like a chat than anything super formal. They weren't grilling me with tons of questions, and I didn't need to have rehearsed answers ready. I felt pretty good from the moment I arrived until I left – they just seemed keen to get to know me. It was a good vibe all the way through.
