Sales Development Representative
First, I had a phone chat with the recruiter, which was super chill; he was genuinely nice and helpful. Then, a couple of days later, I interviewed with the hiring manager, and honestly, it felt like she really didn't want to be there and had a bad attitude. Turns out, I was rejected. I asked the recruiter respectfully for feedback to help me improve for the future, and he told me the hiring manager was actually looking for someone with over 4 years of experience, which is wild because that wasn't even in the job description!

Sales Development Representative
When I arrived, I was checked in by the receptionist and then sat in a lobby with other candidates, which was kinda weird and created tension. After that, I had interviews with 3 managers and one SDR. The questions were pretty easy and they were all easy-going. But then I started noticing issues when the SDR told me he got the job through his sister and had no prior experience. It seems nepotism is a common thing here based on other reviews. After the interviews, we got a tour of the SDR workspace, and I noticed a serious lack of diversity. It was mostly non-ethnic people in management and SDR roles. This company's hiring is not diverse and doesn't represent the community, making a potentially unwelcoming environment. Also, the workers on the tour seemed unhappy, which hints at low job satisfaction and a bad company culture. This is a warning sign for candidates about a lack of support and growth. It's obvious this company plays favorites and relies on politics in the Sales department. If you like a "frat boy" vibe and don't mind being paid way less than market rate, maybe this is for you. But if you want to avoid nepotism, favoritism, and a lack of diversity, stay away from Sales.

Sales Development Representative
It was a three-day process. First, I had a call with a recruiter and then a manager. After that, I had three back-to-back calls with SDR managers. On the third day, I also did a 30-minute shadow session with a current SDR.
