Manager
I went through a bunch of interviews for a manager job, like 5 or more with different people, including the recruiter, hiring manager, team manager, and people I’d work with. Most of them seemed nice enough, but the team manager interview felt kinda weird. She was distracted by Slack messages and the conversation was all over the place and too casual sometimes. They said the role was about growth, but I didn’t get a clear picture of the long-term plan or what the job would really be like. After all that, they sent me a super long questionnaire that asked the same stuff we’d already talked about and wanted details about my current company that felt like private info. I was kinda taken aback by how much they were asking for. With the long process, the weird requests, and the inconsistent interviews, I decided to back out and look elsewhere.
- Can you share the company’s rating scale for the most recent two performance ratings?
- What is the percentage breakdown of your scope of work?
- In your current or previous roles, how have you used AI to boost your productivity?
Management Trainee
The interview process has 2 rounds. First, there's a GD round where you'll speak on a given topic for 1 minute on Zoom. If you pass that, you'll go to the Speech X round, which is an AI assessment for English fluency and grammar. Make sure to have a good accent, but the AI isn't perfect. After this, you'll get a joining offer. It's a quick process, and you'll hear back about acceptance or rejection the next day or same day after each round.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Technical Manager
The interview process focused a lot on your past experiences and the challenges you encountered. There was one system design question. They also assessed your people management skills with some situational questions.
- What are your thoughts on designing a system that can scale?
- Describe a challenging situation you faced in your previous roles.
- How would you approach a people management scenario?
