First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cvent.
Product Consultant
They asked for a basic introduction and gave me a topic to speak on. They also asked some basic HR questions. The interview process was easy, but make sure you have good communication skills. Expect questions tied to your resume (projects, specific tools used).
- Tell me about yourself and answer some basic HR questions.
- Please present on a given topic.
- Can you discuss your resume, including projects and tools you've used?
Product Consultant
So first, they shortlisted based on resume and profile. Then came a grammar test, product test, and cognitive assessment. After that, a group discussion, followed by an interview. The final stage was selection and an unpaid training. Honestly, the whole process was a mess with lots of miscommunication. My GD actually went really well, even better than others, with the panel asking me follow-up questions and seeming impressed, even hinting I'd move on. Others even complimented me afterwards saying I did the best. Everything seemed perfect. But then, somehow my attendance wasn't marked and I was marked absent, so I missed the interview email. It's wild because I saw some people who got through couldn't even speak properly or had little to say, which is weird given the job description stressed good communication. For reference, I'm an ICSE grad, got 98 percentile in CUET English, got into Delhi University North Campus easily, and have won many communication competitions while leading various groups. I know there's more to selection than just that, and I'm not perfect, but it's hard to understand how people with weak basic English skills were chosen over better candidates. Plus, there was no contact to even sort this out. So, not only did a good candidate miss out, but Cvent also missed out on a potentially great Product Consultant. They might have other people, but I also have better companies where my skills fit perfectly.

Project Consultant
The interview process involved many challenging questions. Communication skills and strategic thinking are crucial. Having a strong professional background is very helpful. Always be prepared for difficulties. There's a time limit for each question. Answer questions intelligently.
- Can you describe how you would explain a color to someone who is blind?
