First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cvent.
Account Executive
The interview process included 4 interviews and a final presentation. Two of the interviews were one-on-one, and the other two involved meeting with two employees each. The interviewers were professional and direct, asking insightful questions and showing engagement. The final step was a presentation of a product you've previously sold, which could be an advantage for a more natural presentation.

Sales Executive
First, there was a 30-minute chat with a Cvent recruiter. They actually missed our scheduled time and emailed saying they had the wrong number. A different recruiter called me a few days later at our rescheduled time, and it went for an hour. Then, a 30-minute interview with the direct manager. It felt more like she was explaining Cvent and the role instead of actually interviewing me, which was surprisingly easy. After that, there were three 30-minute interviews back-to-back. One person I wouldn't even be working with was there just to give an opinion. The other two I would be working under, but on a different team. I got high praise from all three of them directly and the recruiter kept me updated, though it took weeks. I received positive feedback from all five people so far, both directly and through the recruiter. Personality and confidence are super important. Three of them called me 'tenacious' before even talking to each other. Lastly, a 30-minute final interview with the SVP, who was late and cut it short. It seemed like I said one wrong thing and he totally dismissed me. The recruiter said she'd update me either way, and after I called and emailed asking, she said they were taking time to decide. I emailed twice more, and still no response. After 3.5 hours of interviews and even more time preparing, I was ghosted and had to assume I didn't get it. Some feedback would've been nice.

Sales Executive
It was a really bad experience overall. The first interview was a panel with 2 sales leaders who didn't even know the role I was applying for. Then I met with the SVP of sales, and she forgot why we were meeting. I made it to the final interview, but the hiring manager didn't realize I was applying for her team. They seem like decent people, but they're definitely not organized. After the final interview, I was told I'd hear back from the recruiter, but it's been crickets since then. Maybe they forgot about me, or maybe they thought I wasn't a fit for a role I probably wasn't even interviewing for. Honestly, it's probably the worst interview process I've seen in 10 years.
