First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cuyahoga County.
Employment Specialist
The interview was a good length, not too long or too short. The people interviewing me were really nice and friendly, not cold at all, which made it much easier for someone like me who hasn't had to interview in about 20 years.
- What is your motivation for pursuing a role as an employment specialist?
Probation Officer
The process was reasonable. They're looking for quality, knowledgeable people, so be ready to explain your qualifications for the role. It's a good idea to prepare some questions to ask them at the end to show you're interested. You'll probably have two interviews. Getting a second interview means they're thinking about hiring you.
- Can you tell me about your past experiences?
Examiner
The interview process can be long due to multiple interviews & background check etc. Also, One time they never replied back either way, whether I got the job or not. Even after sending an email, no reply. However, as far as for another position, I got the job.
- How do you handle conflict?
- What makes you the right candidate for this position?
Case Worker
It was like an open event, I talked with two people who currently work there. If that went well, I had to take a test to see if I could get hired. After getting hired, they told me I'd start on one of two dates they gave me.
- Can you tell me about your experience working in child welfare?
- Describe a challenging situation you faced at work.
