First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Custom Processing Services.
Industrial Maintenance Technician
Interview was good. However they did not have good hiring staff. Requirements are standard for Industrial maintenance, and they are honest about opportunities to learn from other employees/management. Honest about little growth in the maintenance department. Having a good resume and wide variety is definitely a benefit, as the company has many different pieces of equipment and many different processes. Very flexible on working hours and schedules. The hiring staff might not know a lot about your field, it is best to be honest. A willingness to learn goes a long way here, if you don’t know something there will be someone to help you regardless of department. HR staff can be less helpful than desired, you must stay on top of your own hiring process/progress. Company interviewer is typically easy going and understanding.
- Can you tell me about your industrial and production experience and which industries you have worked in?
General Laborer
The interview was straightforward and focused on discussing past experiences. The company seems to have high turnover, which might mean they aren't overly strict with hiring. The people I spoke with were generally pleasant. Be aware that the job itself can be quite messy.
- Tell me what you know about our company.
Talent Acquisition Specialist
I had a phone interview and then an in-person interview. The whole process was nice and pretty easy. The in-person was helpful, giving me info on what the company wants to do in the future and also talking about my own career goals.
- Can you tell me about a time you were part of a team, not in charge of it?
Chemical Mill Operator
I first talked to HR, and they asked me mostly about my past work experience. Then they explained what the job is and what the hours are. After that, I talked to the head of operations supervisor who told me more details about the job and asked if I was interested in this type of work.
- What was the reason for leaving your previous job?
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
- What are the duties of this role?
