Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Curtiss-Wright.
Hardware Engineer
The interview process began with a recruiter call, followed by a second phone interview, and concluded with a final interview conducted over Skype. The team seemed really great and friendly.
- Can you discuss the various components of power supplies and their impact on voltage and current levels?
Hardware Engineer
First, I had a phone interview with HR to go over my resume, talk about salary, and ask behavioral questions like strengths, weaknesses, and overcoming obstacles. It lasted about 30 minutes. After that, there was an on-site interview with the team that lasted almost two hours.
- Regarding board layout and design, how would you reduce crosstalk?
- When should memory components be used?
- What criteria do you use to select the type of memory?
Hardware Engineer
The whole process took more than a month. They told me everything looks good and they are working on the offer so they put my mind at ease. Instead they came back and said sorry but we can't meet your salary requirements so we wont move forward with you, not even asking which salary works for me. Overall very underwhelming experience. Work place during the interview looked very boring and bleak, no sound came from anywhere. Nobody seemed to be excited to work there.
- General interview questions were asked.
- There were a few technical questions.
