The interview process was good and went smoothly. They asked about why I chose a sales position, my commutation, past experience, present working conditions and availability, and about my career and store experience. They also asked why I prefer to work here. There was a direct round in the store where they called and selected me.

I spoke with HR over the phone and was asked about my experience with certain non-industry specific software. I admitted I didn't have experience with any of them. She mentioned that she was sure I'd heard of them from TV commercials, and while I had, I pointed out the cost and my lack of experience. She then said it was fine, as she didn't expect people outside of that specific division to know them. When I inquired about onsite training, she was surprised and confirmed they do offer training. She also mentioned I'd be a temp until they found a better candidate. No matter what I asked, her responses were unhelpful, and she seemed to have a negative attitude. I've worked with recruiters for years doing various admin tasks and have never encountered such unprofessional behavior. The pay is also very low, and it felt like they expected me to be desperate for the role while they looked for someone with the required skills. The whole interview was a very negative experience.

The hiring and interviewing process was quite straightforward. Several group interviews were held throughout the day, and I had the chance to interact with students. The process involved meeting with the entire department, including the director, followed by a meeting with HR to finalize employment details. Overall, it was a positive interview experience. My only concern was the extended period before receiving a job offer, which occurred around the holidays. I was informed they extended the offer just two days before Christmas, which was intended as a holiday gift. While a kind gesture, I would have preferred to know about the job offer sooner.

The entire department was present, asking questions in a disorganized manner. It was easy to discern potential difficult colleagues. The department manager was pleasant and appeared both professional and approachable. The role demanded overtime and meticulous attention to detail, with little room for error in the latter.
