The hiring manager round involved an introduction to the team, followed by questions about my resume and some scenario-based questions. The entire process lasted about 45 minutes. It wasn't overly challenging, but a good understanding of my projects was necessary.

Behavioral Technical Other

The interview process was a bit lengthy but pretty straightforward. It started with a virtual meeting with the hiring manager, followed by an interview with a VP. Then, there were three 30-minute interviews with people from cross-functional departments. After that, I had a take-home assignment, and the final round was with the Hiring Manager again. The recruiters were really helpful and proactive throughout the entire process.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process felt hostile, like they had already decided on their candidate. Many of the questions seem geared towards entry-level roles. In general, the more senior and specialized the position, the more unique the questions will be, and the more the interviewer will focus on whether you can truly contribute value. For entry-level positions, expect questions about your financial knowledge and industry interest. Even if you're a graduate applying for an analyst role in investment banking, you'll need to handle technical questions. If you're aiming for sales and trading, you must be ready for market-related questions. Regardless of the role, be prepared for discussions on ethics, cultural fit, and your reasons for choosing this bank over competitors.

The interview process started with an online assessment which took a lot of time and was difficult, involving a common LeetCode problem. This was followed by an HR screening and then a panel interview. Finally, there were some behavior interviews. The system design interview felt like too much for an associate role.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • A LeetCode question was asked, which is a normal question for finance companies.
