The interview had 3 people, one was the director. The role wasn't super clear, a lot of it came from a PM and a sales guy. Also, it was expected for high-level techs to work Monday to Friday and half of every Saturday.

It was a two-step interview process, and also included a behavioral and cognitive test. The people interviewing me were really nice and knew their stuff. Once they figured out I could do the job, they actually wanted to get to know me as a person.

The interview process was kinda weird. There were three rounds with pretty standard questions. It was weird because it was set up through a third-party recruiter. The weird part was the first phone interview wasn't for a specific job, just a department. Then the next interview was for a job they thought fit you best. So you didn't actually interview for the job you wanted or thought you were best for. The other strange thing is after I did the final interview, I just never heard back. I've never had an interview where they didn't let you know either way. Especially after making it to the final round. My final interview was with two directors. Both had been with the company less than a year, and both in the industry less time than me. It was pretty obvious they were both in way over their heads.

The process included a take-home essay about using credit rating for insurance companies underwriting. The interview itself was delayed by over 30 minutes for the director to show up. During the interview, the interviewer spent more time discussing their own job duties rather than the specifics of the role I was applying for.
