Had three interviews that were all chill conversations. I'm stoked to join. Each interview was spread out over 7-10 business days, which gave me enough time between them. It was a long process but worth it.

The interview process was pretty straightforward and not too tough. It started with a chat with the hiring manager about the job and my background. They were nice and easy to talk to, so it was a good conversation. Then, I had a technical interview with an engineer. It involved two Leetcode-style problems that were on the easier side. I messed up explaining the time and space complexity, but the engineer was cool about it and helped me out. The last round was with the director. It began with the standard 'Tell me about yourself' but then went straight into talking about how my old company scaled its services. The director seemed pretty doubtful and really dug into that part, which made it hard to get to other things. It felt like we just argued about it the whole time instead of really checking my skills, which wasn't the best or fairest way to do things.

Applied online and then got an interview request. They ghosted me for a week before sending a calendar invite for a time I'd already told them wouldn't work. The interviewer sounded like a TikTok influencer and seemed clueless about the company. She asked irrelevant questions, didn't consider my background or the role, and bad-mouthed my last employer. Curative seriously needs a proper HR person for these interviews.

Applied and had a call with the recruiter. He moved me forward to meet with the Marketing Director. I had very positive signals from both. Two weeks go by and they don't send an update, so I follow up with an email to check on the hiring process. Still no reply. I send another follow-up email the week after. No reply. Then I check Curative's GlassDoor Interview Reviews and I find that the position had already been filled by someone else. Terrible communication, no transparency on the recruiting process, and completely ghosted me. If you're going to reject a candidate, at least let them know out of respect for the time and effort they took to meet with you. I'm very disappointed.
