Behavioral Case Presentation

First, I had a recruiter call to check if my experience fit the role. Then, I interviewed with two business line managers. They wanted to get to know me and asked a few mini-scenario questions. These two interviews were exactly the same. I nailed the second one because we'd already talked through the answers in the first. After that, I spoke with the Head of Strategy and BizOps. This felt like a typical background discussion. Finally, a panel interview with a case presentation was set up, but I withdrew before that because I'd accepted another offer.

The overall interview process was a good one. The people I talked to were real, and the hiring manager was easy to get a hold of and understanding. The technical questions were fine and exactly what they said they'd be. It included two coding problems and a discussion about API/front-end design, all done live, no take-home tests. Three technical interviews feels like a lot but it's pretty standard these days. It does mean they hire better though. They weren't high-stress and pretty much like other technical interviews. The technical interviewers are supportive and helpful, and importantly, not judgmental.

Technical Presentation Behavioral

Got reached out on Linkedin after I tried the product and was genuinely interested in the company. I wanted to launch a new category, but they interviewed me for a biz ops & strategy lead role instead. I made it to the final panel interview and prepped a presentation for about 20 hrs. After the presentation, I waited patiently for an outcome but was ghosted. When I asked for feedback, I was still ghosted. On top of my day job and interviewing for other things, I spent ~30ish hrs on this process between the panel and other rounds of interviews to not even hear back about an outcome. This has to be one of the most disrespectful recruiting processes I've ever encountered.

Behavioral Technical Presentation Other

The initial interview was with the hiring manager. After that, I got a writing assignment with about a week to finish it. They mentioned they'd pay me for it, which was nice. Then, they reviewed my writing sample and asked me to do a presentation with three other employees and the hiring manager, followed by some questions. That seemed to go okay, so they moved me to another round of interviews with a designer and a PM. Those were fine. Next, I had an interview with a growth marketing manager, which also went well. About a week later, I got an offer. The catch was it was a contract role for three months, even though it was advertised as full-time, with a chance for a full-time offer later. Plus, they offered me an entry-level salary, which was half of what I currently make, despite my seven years of experience.
