The interview process was really open and one-on-one, and it went pretty fast and easy. I met with a manager who asked me about the job and also about my values as a person. The whole process has three steps, and they did the first two on the very first day. They do a great job of keeping the job description realistic, but they also stress how you can grow within the agency. For the third interview, they just asked me any questions about the job because I had more time to think about it, and even asked how my friends and family felt about it. It was a nice change from the usual job interviews I've been through.

I was contacted about my resume on Monster.com for a Supervising Agent position in Fishers, while I was living in Lafayette. I really needed a new career, and the Cunningham-Weatherspoon agency seemed like a good opportunity. I went through three interview rounds where I asked the management team a lot of questions. They answered me very well and were completely honest and open the entire time, perhaps even too much. The company seemed to be everything they said it was, a place that really values honesty and integrity. I found them very professional, caring, and it was a pleasure every time I was invited back for an interview.

They had a "get to know us" event on Saturday morning for several applicants because they were expanding. They went over the history of the owners and the parent company. I asked the recruiter if it was a sales position, and they said it was a manager over sales, but the presentation made it sound like a sales position. Everyone filled out a personality profile, and they said they'd call Monday to set up interviews for Tuesday. We were informed that if they offered us a position, we'd have to pay $200 upfront for licensing pre-test prep classes the same day. This wasn't what I was told, so I was very disappointed.

We had a Zoom meeting over the computer. I wasn't told what the position was before the interview, which I wish I had asked or they had told me before I agreed to move forward.
