So first, the recruiter hit me up on Indeed since they saw my resume and asked if I was interested in a job. I said yeah, and then the recruiter sent my resume to the hiring manager. I talked to the hiring manager and then they offered me the job, which I took.

Applied online, but the website said I wasn't qualified due to lack of experience. Then Cumberland called and offered an interview, which was weird but okay. We had a group interview that included an online personality test to see who would agree to mandatory overtime, which is pretty much daily there. The Director of Nursing and a Unit Coordinator interviewed us in the conference room and gave us a brief idea of the job. After that, we got calls offering the position and then had to do a background check and drug screen. The whole thing took about two weeks. The interview process didn't prepare us for the actual job at all, and the job itself was totally different from what I thought I applied for.

It was a casual interview. The staff were very nice and friendly. There was a possibility of an on-the-spot offer. They welcome new nurses. Teamwork is really important for this job. There's always overtime available. They have good shift differentials.
