Culture Amp Product Manager Interview Questions

Had a quick phone interview that lasted about 30 minutes. They asked some basic questions like the ones below. The recruiter was quite friendly. We also discussed the role itself, its remit, and resourcing. I felt my responses were reasonable. I was hoping my extensive product management experience, particularly launching products in fields similar to Culture Amp, would be enough. However, the recruiter's feedback was that my answers weren't as concise as other candidates, and that's something I need to improve. We agreed that my domain expertise, PM skills, and personal investment were my strengths, but apparently, these weren't enough to outshine those with a better way with words.

So I applied on the company site and within 24 hours, HR reached out to set up a quick 15-20 minute screening call. It was mostly about why Culture Amp and what I wanted next, just to see if it was a potential fit. After that, I had a first-round interview with the direct manager for the role, which was heavy on behavioral questions like 'Tell me about a time when...'. Then came a take-home case study, about 4 hours of work, followed by a presentation of that case study to a panel of 3 people (other PMs, designers). They asked a bunch of questions about my case study after I presented. The final round was with two other people I'd be working with (from Tech, Delivery, People Science) and focused on how I work, with more behavioral questions. I got a call the same day as the final interview saying the feedback was good, and then the offer the next day. It was super fast! For a PM role, this process is pretty standard with about 3 rounds and a case study, but Culture Amp's communication was amazing. After each step, I got a really quick email from HR explaining what was next, what to expect, and who I'd talk to, plus some company info. Honestly, the best interview experience I've ever had, and everyone I met was super nice and smart, which definitely helped ease the nerves.

My third interview round with the company was a waste of time. During my case presentation, the two executives seemed uninterested from the beginning and only asked two questions that didn't even relate to the case. It was obvious they had already made their decision. It's disappointing to be treated this way by a company that focuses on employee engagement.
