First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cue Health.
Software Engineer
There were two technical interviews and one manager interview. The first technical interview focused on coding and basic concepts. The second technical interview covered microservices and Spring Boot. The manager interview was mainly about salary. The overall interview difficulty was medium.
- Can you explain the singleton design pattern?
iOS Developer
Applied for Staff iOS Developer at Cue Health. A recruiter then called me and scheduled a screening where they asked some basic Swift and iOS questions. After that, I had a first-level technical discussion with a Lead Engineer. They started with recent Swift basics, then moved to memory management and design topics. Towards the end, they shared an online coding link and gave me a simple dynamic programming question to solve. I felt it went well, and the interviewer seemed happy too, but I never heard back about the next steps, and my application status wasn't updated.
- Basic Swift questions
- Basic iOS questions
- Questions about memory management
Research Technician
The interview was conducted over Zoom and lasted 30 minutes. The interviewer was very friendly and put me at ease. They asked fairly straightforward questions and also gave me time to ask my own questions. They explained the day-to-day duties of the job and when I could expect to hear back about the next steps.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself and your preferred work environments?
- Do you have experience with pipetting?
- Are you familiar with Word and Excel?
Product Designer
They reached out for a second time after rejecting my application, checking if I was still interested. I confirmed my interest, and we scheduled a meeting. They indicated I should expect a final offer within a week, but a month passed with no update. I emailed them for an update, but received no response. This experience was extremely disappointing due to their unethical and unprofessional conduct. I do not recommend them and want to share this experience.
