It was a physical screening process on-site. We started with an initial introduction, then interviewees were split into two groups. The first was a general easy 'fun' group exercise. The second exercise involved teams coming up with a solution to a basic transport issue and presenting it. There was a break with snacks and a visit to the labs, which was interesting. Finally, there was a panel interview with 2 systems engineers that lasted 10-20 minutes and was based on my resume.

I had a quick phone chat with an HR person for about 15 minutes to go over the job, the company, and what happens next. Then, about a week later, I got invited for another interview. This one was with 3 engineers, including the hiring manager and someone earlier in their career. It was super chill and friendly. No real behavioral or technical stuff, just a few easy questions about my resume. They mostly spent the time telling me about their work, what the intern role involves, and more about the company. It felt very relaxed.
