Manager
Had one virtual interview that was about 45 minutes. They asked some questions. We discussed contract and offer details, and the specific job role and company for the contract.
- What is your experience in transit and operations?
Test Manager
I had a phone interview with the hiring manager who was super nice and explained everything. We talked through my experience and qualifications, and he answered all my questions. Then, the next week, I interviewed with another test manager. This interviewer was really difficult; her questions were unclear and she got frustrated with me, repeatedly saying 'got it.' She didn't seem like an expert, and some questions contradicted each other. She was also clearly rushed, mentioning how much work she had and how great she is. Honestly, she was the worst interviewer I've ever had. Another interview scheduled for the following week was cancelled on the same day. The HR person was a great communicator and very apologetic about the cancellation.
- Can you explain the distinctions between load testing, performance testing, and stress testing?
Site Manager
I got a call and was brought in for an interview the same day since they needed someone right away and I was free. The interview was pretty good and chill, we even had a couple of beers. They asked me about my past experiences and how I handled interactions with senior leadership. They also wanted to know if I'd be okay with saying no or standing my ground when necessary, which happened a few times on the job.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- How have you handled situations with senior leadership in the past?
- Would you have any issues with declining requests or asserting your position when required?
