First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cub Foods.
Accountant
I had one phone chat with HR and then two video chats with the accounting managers. Everyone was nice but serious. The interviews weren't long and I got an offer, but I turned it down because I felt the vibe wasn't right for me.
- Can you tell us about yourself and your experience?
Cashier
The interview process was good, cordial, and nice. Maybe they were a bit rushed with something beforehand, but overall it was a pleasant experience. The questions weren't difficult and they went through them quickly, since they really need the help.
- Tell me about your ability to handle customer interactions.
Grocery Stocker
I had 2 interviews. Both people I spoke with were really nice and friendly. They worked with my schedule to find a time that worked for me. The Store Manager, Jeff, asked me some tough but fair questions to see if I'd be a good fit for his team. I also got contacted with a job offer really quickly after my second interview.
- Tell me about a time you had to handle a difficult customer.
- Can you describe a situation where you dealt with an angry or unreasonable customer?
Store Director
You'll first meet with a district manager and an HR manager. If you get through that, you'll then interview with upper management. The role heavily involves focusing on people and metrics, with controlling shrink being a major priority. The company's main focuses right now are improving Voice of the Customer scores, controlling shrink, and reducing out of stocks.
- How do you impact shrink?
