First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CTEH.
Environmental Scientist
It started with a phone call and an HR screening, and then I submitted some online forms and my resume via email. After that, there was a 40-minute Zoom interview with the local project managers where they asked me about my experience and the education requirements and stuff.
- Tell me about your experience with data management.
- What kind of experience do you have using environmental monitoring equipment?
- How do you handle situations when you're struggling in the field?
Epidemiologist
I applied for the job and heard back in about a week about an interview. First, I had a Teams interview, and after that, I had to prepare a presentation to showcase my epidemiology skills. The presentation was 25 minutes long and conducted over Zoom with people from different teams and also some folks from the office.
- Could you share the theories or skills you've employed and illustrate how you used them?
- What motivates your decision to leave your present role?
- How would you characterize your working relationship with your supervisor?
Health Scientist Epidemiologist
I applied online, and within a week I had an interview with a project coordinator and a senior epidemiologist. They asked about my epidemiology research and statistical analysis experience. After that, I got ghosted. I think it's because even though it was a remote position, they wanted to meet in person (fly somewhere in the US) to work on projects together monthly or quarterly, and I mentioned I preferred to work from home.
- Can you detail a modeling method you've employed and share your findings?
Digital Marketing Specialist
I had one online video interview with the marketing manager and an HR specialist. A week later, I had an in-person interview with the same marketing manager and the VP of marketing.
- How do you handle working with people who have difficult personalities?
