Front End Web Developer
I applied online and then got an email asking me to take an online skills test, which I completed. After that, I had an in-person interview. The first hour involved creating a web page from a PSD design. It needed to be responsive, and I could use any IDE, technologies, or platform I wanted. I was allowed to browse any websites but couldn't contact anyone. Then, I interviewed with technical architecture, where we discussed my detailed working experience and the technologies I've used. The interviews were all very friendly and nice.
- Could you convert this PSD to HTML and CSS without looking up any references?
Web Developer
The interview process was long, with several interviews and tests. It included a 100-minute timed test that had different parts: type questions, building a template, and a recorded video interview. The type questions took about 10-20 minutes, building the template took 60 minutes, and the video interview was 10-29 minutes.
- Can you state three reasons why you are a good fit for our company?
Web Developer
The process was quite tedious. They sent me an assessment test, and mentioned the rest of the process was confidential. I found it challenging to meet their expectations given the short time frame for the test. It was also an unpaid internship, and my questions weren't answered properly. Honestly, I felt it was tough to judge a candidate on how they build a website in just 60 minutes.
- Could you build a website within 60 minutes?
