Housing Support Coordinator
It's been more than a month since I interviewed, and I haven't heard back even after reaching out to the interviewer. HR also said they would follow up, but it's been nearly another month with no response.
- Can you share your experience with collecting timesheets?
- What is your experience working with diverse groups of people?
Manager
The whole thing took like six months from applying in March to getting rejected in September. The interview itself was in June. Everyone on the committee was nice and professional, and the chair kept me in the loop. First, there was a panel interview with the committee, then a quick 15-minute presentation to a group, and finally a chat with the hiring manager. Turns out, the hiring manager was retiring next month and wanted someone to start before they left. The chair told me in early July that I was their top pick. They checked my references and got the go-ahead from the hiring manager and the President. An interim manager took over in August, and that's when I got the offer. The new manager wanted to interview me, which is their right. They told me I was one of two finalists, which was a shock because nobody mentioned that. They didn't give a timeline for the decision. I emailed them four times, only got one reply saying they were 'deliberating' and would let me know. Six weeks later, I got a generic rejection email saying the recruitment was cancelled. Then they posted the same job the next day!
- Can you tell me about a time you designed a training schedule?
Student Assistant
The interview process was quick and easy. The interviewer was easy to talk to and detailed the responsibilities for the position. The staff were very accommodating and took care of the paperwork for me. With all these, the transition process was a breeze as the staff were helpful and welcoming.
- What can you contribute to the team?
