Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CST Academy.
Registered Behavior Technician
It was super fast. First, there was a 15 min phone or zoom screening. Then, a shadow interview. The shadow interview involved some questions, working with a client, and watching a session.
- What are your strategies for managing difficult behaviors?
BCBA Clinical Supervisor
It was a straightforward and clear interview process. The people I met were kind and asked questions relevant to the role. They also listened to my questions. I met with many different members of the team, which was helpful in getting a feel for the role.
- Can you tell me about your experience with assessments?
OTA
The interview process was good and thorough, conducted over phone or Zoom. They answered all my questions and explained the role and duties well. The interviewer was open to talking about areas for growth and opportunities within the setting.
- Can you introduce yourself and share your aspirations?
Therapeutic Preschool Teacher
The interviewer gave me a tour of the place and then we sat down to go over my resume. She mentioned beforehand that I would speak to her head manager after our chat. After she spoke with me and reviewed my resume at the coffee shop, she left without saying anything about calling the manager. I had to call up to her office, and then they reluctantly brought the guy down to reluctantly speak with me. It was a whole ordeal.
- How do you see yourself fitting into this company, and what unique skills or contributions will you offer?
- What specific value or expertise do you bring to this role?
