First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CSL Plasma.
Center Supervisor
I had a quick phone chat with the recruiter first, and then I met with the Center Manager in person. They mostly asked me about my past experiences and how I'd handle specific scenarios. I didn't need a second interview and got an offer soon after.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to mediate a conflict among your team members?
Quality Assurance Specialist
First I chatted with the Quality Assurance Center Supervisor. We went over my background and talked about policies, since I have plasma experience. Then, I interviewed with the regional quality manager.
- Can you share an instance where you were asked to disregard standard operating procedures and describe the outcome?
Phlebotomist
After I applied, I had to wait about a month to get an interview. The interview itself was pretty straightforward, but they asked some questions that needed more detailed answers. We did introductions, then they asked about healthcare stuff and how my background fit with what they were looking for.
- Can you share an instance where you faced pressure and explain how you handled it?
Phlebotomist
They asked about my reliability and education. They presented verbal scenarios to see how I would handle them. We discussed the order of blood draw, handling daily pick ups and returning samples to processing, and experience with in and out patient and ER departments. They also asked about difficult draws versus easy draws, the importance of sterilization and patient identification, protocols for infant foot heals, and urinalysis. We touched on how different draws require different care, like on ice or wrapped to protect from light, depending on the test.
- Are you reliable, and can you tell me about your education?
- Can you describe how you would handle different verbal scenarios?
- What is the correct order for drawing blood?

I created my account as requested, but I'm still waiting for a verification email that never arrived. I checked my spam folder too, and it's not there. This has been going on for half the day yesterday. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how did you resolve it?”
