Project Manager
I went through a graduate recruitment process that was pretty tough but very well organised until they failed to reply about my job status after the final recruitment day and a personal interview. I ended up having to call them a few weeks later and was asked to wait longer. When I called again, they seemed surprised I hadn't heard back and gave me a rather rude rejection over the phone, though they mentioned HR was looking for other roles for me. A month later, HR contacted me saying the interviewer would respond after his vacation, but I had already spoken to him directly. The lack of coordination at CSC made the recruitment a negative experience, and I wouldn't suggest it to others.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
Project Manager
The interview process started with a brief phone screen. Then, there was an in-person interview that felt really comfortable. Everyone was welcoming, and I had a long talk with the Manager of the PMO. We discussed the data center environment's culture, the stress involved, and the specifics of working in a government-related setting. I felt the whole process was fair for both me and the company. I was made to feel at ease right from the start.
- What makes you want to work in this high-stress environment?
Project Manager
The overall process was pretty straightforward and everyone was really nice. They asked about 40-45 minutes worth of questions, mostly focusing on competencies. One of the other questions was to describe yourself. The process starts with an online application, then some online tests, followed by a phone interview, and finally a full-day assessment center with various activities.
- Tell me about a really challenging situation that you went above and beyond to complete.
- Can you share an instance where you identified an opportunity and pursued it?
