Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CSC.
Incident Manager
I networked to get in. I had a friend of a friend who worked there and ended up talking to her about how I would like an opportunity to start at the bottom and work my way up. She made me an offer and a ridiculously low starting rate and it was contract. I worked hard and worked my way up throughout the years.

Office Manager
So the interview process involved me talking a bit about myself, and then they asked me why I was interested in this particular position and also why I decided to leave my previous role. Then, we went into more detail about my past work experience, and they asked me what makes me a good candidate for this job. They also wanted to know about my strengths and weaknesses, and what I see myself doing in the next five years. Lastly, I was asked about my proudest accomplishments and my ideal boss and coworker.
- What is your personal motivation / How do you inspire others?
- Motivation is key in any job. I assured them that I am inherently motivated and don't need external drivers to perform. I expressed genuine excitement about the role, stating that the purpose of the job itself is a great motivator for me. I'd be proud to have this position and would strive to improve daily. I also added, 'I truly enjoy working with people. If I weren't strongly motivated by this job, I wouldn't have applied. I couldn't work solely for financial gain.'
Manager
First there was a recruiter phone screening, then a 1:1 phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, a panel interview by phone with the hiring manager and two VPs. Finally, an in-person 1:2 discussion that was more of a look over and discussion about what you would be doing. The people were great, and the interviews were all open discussion Q&A, no canned questions or "Tell me about a time...." questions.
- Can you describe how you integrated the global operating system?
