The interview process started with a pre-round by a consultant, followed by technical and HR interviews. The final round was with the practice head. After that, I had to wait for about 60 days while they evaluated other candidates. Then I suddenly got a call for confirmation. After that, there was some confusion regarding the location, as they initially offered me Bangalore but later changed it to Chennai.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

CSC's interview for their federal consulting group was unusual in that there was no case. Rather there was several behavioral questions and questions about the applicant's interests and strengths. They wanted to know of frameworks that I knew - seems like a simplistic way of evaluating someone interested in consulting. Pre and post interview communication has been very weak / non-existent.

The interview process wasn't too hard. First, there were phone calls with competency questions. If you passed that, you'd go to an assessment center. There, you'd have a written assignment and do team activities. The phone interview was competency-based, and they told you how to structure your answers, using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). The assessment center was surprisingly easy. Before it started, we were all gathered outside a room. Some people were quiet, but a few of us chatted and tried to engage others, which seemed to be well-received. The HR person was really nice and helpful, making it seem like they wanted everyone to succeed. For the assignment, we had to write a press report about CSC, based on typical CSC cases, including company analysis. We also had to write a tweet to announce the report. Throughout the day, we were split into two groups. One group had one-on-one interviews in the morning, and the other had them in the afternoon. While you weren't interviewing, you worked on the assignment. We also did a role-based assignment and a simulation of a resourcing task during the day. They said lunch wasn't a test, but it became clear that the people assessing the group exercise and simulation after lunch were present. Hope this helps your application. Good luck!
