First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Crystal Stairs.
ERSEA Specialist
I went through two interviews where I was fingerprinted. Then I had to go to LA for two weeks. After that, I was transferred to one of their sites, or I could choose to stay in LA. You start at 8 am.
- What makes you want to work for this company?
Teacher Assistant
I had an in-person interview with three coordinators. They asked me about my classroom experience, what age group I'd like to work with, if I had CPR certification, and how long I've been working with children in a classroom setting.
- How did you find out about this position?
Child Development Specialist
Interview process was good. Everyone was kind. Had to do a written prompt first. Then it was a solo interview held by two ladies. They took turns asking questions and scribbled notes while I spoke. About 40 minutes long. They said it might take a while to hear from them, however someone called me the next day to offer tentative position. Then they called a few days later to set up a live scan. The info was supposed to be emailed to me. I never received it. Over the course of a month I called three times and left voicemails to find out the status of my application. No one ever reached out to me. I think its rude to make someone believe they are being hired but then you never get back to them for weeks and weeks. No job is worth that wait. People can't be waiting around that long with no income.
- Tell me about a challenge you faced at work and how you dealt with it.
- In what ways would you collaborate with and provide support for Spanish-speaking parents?
- What competencies should a child possess prior to starting kindergarten?
Executive Assistant
The interview process was very professional and thorough. The job, duties, and expectations were clearly explained. The wait time wasn't long. It took place on-site in the Human Resources department. You get to see the work environment and culture at a glance. It's a professional and conservative environment with lots of positive engagement.
