First, I had a quick chat with HR, then they gave me a take-home coding assignment. After I sent that in, I had a technical interview where we went over my assignment and some technical stuff. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager, and they gave me an offer.

This was a weird interview process for a tech job. It started with a HackerRank test. Then there was a behavioral interview with senior managers, but no technical questions were asked. After that, an HR call was scheduled, which felt unnecessary and like a waste of time because it could have been done via email instead of waiting a week to set up the final interview. The final interview was only 10 minutes long with the CTO and head of HR and was also behavioral. I got ghosted for a few weeks after the final interview, even though they said I'd hear back in a week. I only found out my application wasn't considered after emailing them again three weeks later.

The overall interview process was nice, though a bit lengthy, taking several weeks to complete. It started with an introductory call with HR. This was followed by a cultural interview with some basic technical questions, involving two engineers. Next was a take-home project, with an estimated completion time of 4 hours, but ample time was given. The third stage involved a technical discussion about the take-home assessment, including pair-programming to implement changes and further technical questions to gauge experience. The final stage was a feedback call to discuss the interview experience and highlight company benefits, though salary specifics weren't provided. Despite being asked about my desired rate in earlier stages, the recruiter stated they couldn't meet it due to location-based pay, which was below the local average for this role. This was disappointing for a company like Crypto.com, and felt like a waste of time as the rate issue wasn't disclosed upfront.
