The interview process started out great, with a really positive and engaging initial contact. However, the final interview had a bit of a concerning moment when two panelists seemed to have less experience than me. One even admitted it was his third interview when I asked for clarification on a question. The next Monday, the Recruiter emailed asking if I'd consider a contract role. There was no follow-up on next steps, no checking in on my interest after the interview, no feedback shared, and not even a call to discuss details. When I replied that I was only interested in FTE, the Recruiter just said, "Thanks Gerry, I'll get back to you." That was August 30th. On September 16th, I got an automated email asking about my interview experience and to fill out a survey. While I get that companies are busy, this level of incompetence and ineptitude is beyond anything I've experienced. It feels like this team is unprepared and incapable of building or scaling a team. Honestly, reaching out to this company feels like a complete waste of time. And yes, I did check my spam folder.

I was initially contacted by a Recruiting Supplier for Cruise. I spoke with a Recruiter at that company, who then passed my info to the hiring manager at Cruise for consideration. A few days later, I had a video call with the hiring manager. After that, I proceeded to the 'onsite' stage, which involved three video interviews because everyone was remote due to COVID. The following week, I had my three follow-up video interviews with team members. About a week or so after that, I got an offer, making the whole process about 2-3 weeks long.

I had an interview scheduled, but the recruiter didn't show up and didn't even send an apology. I had to follow up to figure out what was going on. This company seems really unorganized and unprofessional. They ended up passing on me because they had two finalists? That's weird since they didn't even show up to the interview. Lame excuses about the process. I wouldn't work here given their lack of respect for people's time.
