I was reached out to on LinkedIn for a French CSM job that wasn't posted publicly, as it was a replacement role. I finished all three interview rounds in two weeks, and they said they'd let me know the final decision. After two more weeks of silence, I emailed to ask if a decision was made or if interviews were still happening. Sadly, I never got a reply from the TA rep. Being ghosted after three rounds, especially when I was approached proactively, felt super disrespectful. It makes the company look bad on communication and raises doubts about the internal culture they want.

Applied online and a hiring associate reached out a few days later by email. They asked some general questions and then told me about an assessment test and what to expect if I moved forward. I completed an online aptitude assessment. After that, the hiring associate contacted me again to schedule an interview with the hiring manager a few days later. I was told by the hiring associate the interview would be about an hour. The hiring manager seemed rushed and blunt. He asked me to give a quick overview of myself. After I finished, he asked if the hiring associate had explained the role's responsibilities and clarified that it wasn't a call center position. I confirmed I was aware of this because the job posting was very detailed. He then asked a couple of questions. Once I answered, he vocalized a question about the credibility of my education. The interview concluded after 15 minutes.

The interview process started outside the office, with the two interviewers and two candidates heading to a nearby hotel bar for drinks. The interview lasted about an hour. They asked about our approach to 'small steps aggressively' in development, which seems to be a key process at Crownpeak. The lead interviewer probed about my reluctance to convert my current WPF project to a web application and asked about our ages. I was not allowed to fully answer a question about the types of teams I've worked with. Afterward, we toured the office, and they emphasized teamwork. The office environment appeared heavily skewed towards younger employees, potentially making it unsuitable for those over 40 or seeking a strict work-life balance.

I did a bunch of tests first, like numerical, verbal, and non-verbal reasoning. Then, I had a chat with the Chief Architect and a Team Leader. It was technical, but they asked coding questions verbally, though whiteboards were there if needed. They also looked at my GitHub and asked about my previous work. The second round was a week later with three team leaders, covering more technical stuff and some general interview questions. After that, I met some people from the dev and operations teams to get acquainted.
