First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Crown Agents.
Office Administration
It was a pretty standard interview process with no unexpected questions. The interviewer was nice, and the interview took about an hour. They seemed really focused on culture and teamwork and getting to know me as a person. Honestly, it was one of the best interviews I've had so far.
- Can you tell me what you know about our industry and our core values?
- What do you know about the industry and our ethos?
Project Manager
I thought I was having a preliminary chat with HR, but they only wanted to know if I needed sponsorship. Since I was applying for jobs only with companies with existing sponsor licenses and they had one, I was upfront about needing sponsorship. The call was cut short after they realized this. They didn't confirm if I could proceed and never replied to any follow-ups. It would have been nice if they'd just said sponsorship wasn't an option for this role, and even better if they'd bothered to reply to emails.
- How does your background align with the requirements of this position, and do you require sponsorship?
- Can you tell me if you need sponsorship?
Business Development
The interview process had three parts. It started with a call with two team members who wanted to know about my background and skills. Then, there was an assessment. Finally, I met with the department heads for a meeting where they asked questions about how I would fit into the team.
- How do you handle situations where you have multiple deadlines that are in conflict?
Health Logistics Specialist
The interview started with a chat with the HR Manager where they asked about why I want the job, what I can bring to it, and any hurdles I see. Then, there was a written technical test that was all about the job's duties, especially looking at technical data analysis using made-up data.
- What challenges do you foresee in the role and how would you approach solving them?
- What software skills do you possess?
- Have you ever encountered a conflict with your supervisor? If so, describe the situation, how it was resolved, and what you learned from it.
