First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CrowdStrike.
Software Development Engineer in Test
So I applied for a Front-End SDET role at CrowdStrike. It started off great, I had a good chat with a technical leader who seemed keen. Then, a few days later, they sent me a take-home coding challenge. I finished and sent it back pretty quickly, but then they told me the position was already filled. It was weird because I had just done the work they asked for. What's more, I got an automated rejection email before they even said they were moving forward with me. It felt like nobody was talking to each other. Everyone was nice, but the process was messy and showed communication issues. Just a heads-up for future applicants, things can change really fast, even if they seemed really interested.
- Can you describe your experience as an SDET?
Software Development Engineer in Test
Got contacted pretty quick after applying to set up a pre-screen. Got it scheduled fast. The recruiter was top-notch, really professional. They asked good questions, was upfront about pay, and laid out the whole interview process. Then I had a technical assessment with a Senior SDET. They were super chill, made it easy to talk to. I wasn't sure how I did, and didn't make it to the next stage. The recruiter kept me in the loop with two follow-ups. Honestly, it was the best and most professional rejection I've ever had.
- How can I automate testing to verify if an address is IPV4?
- How can I automate testing to verify if an address is IPV6?
Software Development Engineer in Test
This was a time-wasting process with many flaws. The recruiter had a bad attitude, not responding to emails or messages and showing no interest in recruiting. It was a long process with 5 rounds, with interviews scheduled over months. They gave big home projects expected to be submitted. After attending all rounds, they either said the position was closed or rejected candidates. The rounds were repetitive. Spending time on other openings would be more productive.
