First, there was a typical phone interview with the recruiter. To do well, you should know why you want this internship and what your career goals are to guide the conversation. The recruiter was friendly. Then, I had two interviews with the manager. They asked the usual questions but wanted to see if we'd vibe and if they could see themselves working with me. It was pretty easy because they were chill and could tell I was really interested in the position and the industry.

Behavioral Other

The interview process was super awkward and unprofessional at the Culver City office. The interviewers didn't greet us, just screamed 'Next!' from the conference room, which they thought was funny. They didn't introduce themselves, so I had no idea who they were or what they did. They didn't make eye contact the entire time, looking down at the table when I'd look at them. I waited over 30 minutes, and they barely asked any questions, mostly just talking themselves. I'd never had an interview like this before; it was so weird!

The company reached out to me regarding a job listing I applied to. They mentioned it was short notice and they were holding open interviews that day during work hours. I let them know I couldn't make it because I was at work and proposed alternative times to connect in person or by phone. I didn't receive a response after following up. They then sent another email saying they were having open interviews again that day. I requested to schedule an interview with advance notice, but never heard back.

It was a pretty chill vibe, even for an internship. The Director of Operations reached out and asked me about my background and what I'm interested in. They seemed really excited about their work and mentioned they like to train interns in what they do. If you're into it and have some extra skills like Photoshop, video editing, or Facebook Analytics, you'll probably stand out.
