Investor Relations
My interview experience with CrowdStreet was exceptional! Each team member I had the opportunity to meet with during the hiring process really took their time to get to know me and familiarize themselves with my background as it related to the position I was hired for. Each team member was more than happy to answer any and all of my questions in a transparent manner. Although the hiring process was longer than what I'd experienced in the past in that there were 5+ rounds of interviews, I attribute that to both the seniority of the role and the fact that there was restructuring happening at the time, as opposed to anyone dragging their feet. It was clear they were working as diligently as possible to get all team members on the same page as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality of the interview process. Overall, an exceptional experience that I feel contributed to my enthusiasm for the opportunity.
- Could you describe your management style?
SEO Manager
The interview process was really thorough. It kicked off with a quick chat with HR to see if I was interested and a good match. Then I had a video call with the hiring manager, which was pretty conversational, covering my past experience, how I work, and what kind of environment I prefer. Next up, another video interview, this time with folks from different teams, and they were great about answering my questions about the company culture and work setup. After that, I met with the VP of Brand Marketing via video, which was super informative about the company's future growth and marketing plans. Then I had a video chat with the President of Marketplace Business. The final step was a call from HR to wrap up, answering any lingering questions about culture, benefits, and so on. Honestly, it was the most open and transparent interview process I've been through, they really make sure they find the right fit for both sides.

I had 4 interviews total. First was a phone screen, then three more over Zoom with the team. I felt like I really connected with everyone, and they even said they could work with my school schedule. They kept saying things like “looking forward to working with you” and “excited about this project,” which all sounded really positive. After the last interview, the recruiter said they were figuring out the next steps and would know by the end of the week, and I could reach out with questions. The week passed, so I messaged them again to see if we were still moving forward. I got a reply almost immediately saying they had just filled the position that day and I'd probably get an email soon. That was it. It was disappointing to get to the final round and not get any clear communication on why things changed. I still haven't gotten any official rejection email or explanation, other than when I asked. I just wish there had been a little more communication from their side. Everyone I met was really nice, though.
