A recruiter reached out about this Senior Account Manager role. We had a 30-minute chat covering the job, the client I'd support, and my experience. After passing that, I met the hiring manager. This interview made me realize it wasn't the right fit. Some questions weren't even about the job, and she seemed annoyed, correcting me a lot. The big red flag was during our call, she was constantly interrupted by pings from executives, suggesting work-life balance isn't a priority there. Ultimately, I was ghosted, never hearing back, but it's probably for the best given their apparent disregard for work-life balance.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The hiring journey was straightforward, split into three main parts: first, a chat with the recruiter, then a work-related task with the hiring managers, and finally, an in-person meeting at the office. It all wrapped up in about two weeks, which felt pretty quick. It was a bit different having the task interview with the hiring managers right away, but it really helped to get things moving and focused from the get-go. Getting to visit the office for the last bit was cool, gave me a real feel for the place and the people. The recruiter, Charlotte, was awesome – always on the ball with replies and updates. I also really liked Lindsay and Callum, the hiring managers; they seemed super smart and easy to talk to. The task itself was well-thought-out and totally relevant, which made the whole thing feel worthwhile. The only slight hiccup was waiting about two and a half weeks for the final decision, but they kept me in the loop with updates, which was thoughtful.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I first had a Zoom chat that went well. Then, I interviewed with some team members before going into the office. Once there, I did a computer exercise, had another interview with leadership, and finally a video call with someone out of state. The first couple of interviews were good, I felt confident. But when I got to the office, it felt confrontational, like they were trying to find a reason to reject me. They checked my references and got good feedback, but then Croud just stopped responding.

Behavioral Coding Technical

The interview process was pretty simple. First, I talked with the Head of Development for about 30 minutes about my background and experience. Then, there was a 90-minute session with the Head of Development and Lead Backend where I had to do a coding challenge involving Django and Python, and also answer some background questions. Finally, I had a 30-minute Q&A with the CTO and Recruiter about my background and experience, after which an offer was extended. Everyone I met was really nice. It was a bit repetitive since I had to answer the same background questions in every interview, even when some of the interviewers had already met me.
