Crossover for Work has a unique interview process. First, you'll likely face a variety of online tests designed to gauge your suitability. While I get that they probably want to filter out candidates with these tests, I'm sure Crossover misses out on some great people because they can't hit the 90th percentile on an aptitude test. Just a heads up for those applying, the Cognitive Aptitude test gives you 15 minutes for 50 questions covering math, English, and logic puzzles. To get through all 50, you'll need to spend about 18 seconds per question. Since there's no penalty for incorrect answers, just skip the math problems and focus on the English and puzzles, as they're easier to crack.

This was a horrible interview process that took over 7 hours to complete, much longer than any other application I've submitted. It's highly automated and unforgiving; one error and you're out. A significant portion of the process involves lengthy, uncompensated psychometric testing before any human interaction. The most challenging part was the 4.5-hour "Real Work" assessment, which was essentially unpaid work.

My evaluation covered multiple areas, starting from English skills to core technical knowledge. The process was quite extended, so it spanned several days. I got a few follow-up emails and even a call because I was taking more time than usual. It didn't feel rushed, which was nice. During one test, I had to set up software I hadn't used before. Afterwards, I had an interview discussing that experience. I was pretty nervous, but the interviewer was kind and professional.
