it started with a recruiter phone screen, then there were several meetings with team members. They gave me a great overview and clear direction, and got back to me quickly. Everyone seemed happy with their jobs there.

I had a 30-minute call with the recruiter. They asked basic questions like 'tell me about yourself,' 'why do you want to work here,' and to talk about my experiences. The recruiter also shared some info about the company and asked direct questions, including about my computer skills.

Behavioral Technical

The recruiter rescheduled our initial call three times last minute. After finally connecting, we had a standard phone screen. The next round was supposed to be scheduled, but they picked a day the company was closed. They gave more notice for the subsequent reschedule, but it still felt unprofessional. When I finally met the two team members, they didn't introduce themselves or explain their roles, nor did they clearly outline the team's structure. One interviewer joined 10 minutes late and asked questions I'd already answered. This interviewer then used a lot of agency jargon and seemed disengaged, making me feel disrespected by their questions and lack of consideration for my time. They rejected me a week later, suggesting I'd be a better fit for a less senior role. Overall, it was a poor experience.

After initial contact via email, I had an in-person meeting with the team/unit lead. The second round involved meeting potential team members for a vibe check. Everyone was nice, but some interactions felt a bit fake. We talked about industry knowledge, specific task areas, and my personal take on strengths and weaknesses.
