Coach
The process started with the recruiter assessing my availability and then proceeded to a week of paid trial classes. My teaching was observed and evaluated by the recruiter, who also gathered feedback from the students throughout the week. Additionally, the company's values, mission, and vision were shared to ensure cultural alignment.
- What are your available hours?
Senior Frontend Developer
It was a pretty straightforward process. Started with a recruiter call, then a screening with the hiring manager. After that, there was a tech screen, followed by a virtual onsite that was a loop style. The very last step was a final interview with the CTO. The interviews were technical, but they also felt like a 'vibe check'.

Executive Assistant
I was contacted about a week after applying to schedule a video interview. The interviewer was a new HR person to the company and was 10 minutes late to our call. I had to email her to remind her after waiting. She joined claiming she was in the call earlier and left because no one was there, which wasn't true since I was logged in 5 minutes before our scheduled time. If this video was recorded, they could prove that. She clearly forgot about our conversation. The call went okay; she wasn't the best interviewer, but I did my best to lead and highlight my relevant experience. I followed up a few days later with no response. Several days later, I received an email stating I wasn't a good fit. I kindly asked for feedback but never heard back. It feels like I was the perfect fit, but this HR person was the issue. It's ironic how certain people have jobs while perfectly suited candidates don't get a chance because of these kinds of HR people screening. Having been a CrossFit customer for a while, this corporate experience was very disappointing.
- Why did you decide to apply to CrossFit?
Production Assistant
I got referred by a friend after applying and they put me to work right away after a brief phone interview. I showed up and watched the whole process of filming, editing, and streaming the weekly Live Update Show. After that I started immediately. It was a fun exciting experience, I was then trained on editing software to prepare for airing the 2013 CrossFit games in Carson City. If you like a work atmosphere that is relaxed and positive, the people are motivating and easy going.
