I had four rounds: 1 - an initial phone call with the recruiter about why I applied and what the position entailed, 2 - a Phone call with the supervising producer about what guests and topics I would pitch, 3- a writing assignment that was a collection of pitches for the show, and 4 - a Zoom with the SVP about working at Crooked generally and the direction of progressive politics/Crooked Media. Overall, I was told from the beginning what the process would entail and how long it would take, and was kept up-to-date at every step of the process by Brian the recruiter.

From when Brian and Tyler first reached out about the job opportunity until the offer was finalized, I was always kept informed of my candidacy status and even received feedback after all my discussions. I really valued their availability and openness, particularly throughout the salary discussions.

Sent in my resume and cover letter, and after about 4 tries, I got a phone interview. I was really nervous but also excited for this 15-minute call and felt I was well-prepared. By the end, the interviewer said I was a great fit and had the right experience, and that they'd get back to candidates. I wasn't offered anything right away, but she gave me a lot of hope by speaking so highly of me. I'm still not sure what happened, but a week later, I got an email saying they chose other candidates. So, I guess my advice is to not get your hopes up too much lol.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process involved four rounds. It began with an initial contact, followed by meetings with the SVP, department head, and a talent representative. The experience was smooth, and I was consistently informed about the proceedings. The recruiter provided great preparation for each interview and clearly explained the role's responsibilities.
